Mount Revolstoke National Park, BC, Canada
Canon EOS 40D | ISO 100 | 68mm | 1/6 sec | F/32
Inspired by Freeman Paterson’s impressionistic style, I experimented with pull focus imagery on a recent trip to the Canadian Rockies. Shot handheld at f/32 to slow down the shutter to 1/6 sec on a fine sunny day. A little gimmicky — but still lots of fun to shoot! π
Oh yeah, and I’ve been entirely delinquent in ignoring this blog through the summer. Good news is that I now have a backlog of 3 recent trips to pick images from.

Really funky! Like the color and the effect, the contrast with the background is really makes the light purple pop.

I think it’s important to shoot the gimmicky stuff because it really is FUN. and that’s ultimately what photography should be about. If you have fun doing it, keep doing it.
I think it’s a really cool look and makes me want to try it out.
