Great colors in this one! I also really like the way the dune crest wanders off into the distance. It feels a bit dark, but maybe that is my conscience talking 🙂

Love this. Very nice.

Having fun with LR2, are we? 😉 I like how this feels like a scene from a miniature world.

Only having fun with Lightroom 1.3 actually! The purple fringing is genuine (and the result of the shallow depth of field) but I did add some vignetting… No LR2 local adjustments here!
The “miniature world” feeling is also due to the shallow depth of field. The scene was shot at 200mm and this is actually a rather large dune!

so beautiful!

Now is that ever cool!! Looks like a small sand hill on the beach and a huge mound of sand in the desert all at the same time.
The blue colour really makes it interesting… and the fringing is actually pretty neat.

Wonderful. At first glance, I thought you were playing with a macro lens.
Looking forward to seeing some more photos soon. It’s been a while. Regardless, I do enjoy going back through your archives.
Joyeau Noel!
