Hmmm…sea of tulips…where could this have been taken? Did you at least get to the skagit river brewery? Good food & beer after a hard day’s work of picture taking 🙂
I wouldn’t believe this shot if I hadn’t seen the “sea” myself. Really well captured, as usual.
The clarity of the petals in the foreground mixes wonderfully with the progressive loss of detail into the distance.
This shot, the one before it, and the one before that are absolutely perfect.
After having said that, I’m not sure if I muttered about colour and composition and so on, it’d really mean much. I mean, they’re perfect.
it’s very interesting to see photographers choose their own photos. This is a wonderful photo. It’s pretty crazy how dense those red tulips in the background are.

The red bar of tulips at the top of your image makes this shot. Good to see your site again.

Oh, this is wonderful! Agree with Charles–the squashed perspective toward the top of the frame is really great.

This is breathtaking — definitely an inspiration. I’ll have this image in mind when I head up to Skagit Valley this coming spring for the tulips.
